Acerca del evento
Club soccer is a big step for a goalkeeper and their parents. This live session gives you a clear roadmap for the road ahead: how to choose the right club and coach, how to handle playing time and competition, and how to support your goalkeeper before, during, and after games.
"Navigating club soccer can involve a steep learning curve for parents of GKs. This session will help you learn the key questions to ask and determine the minimum support a club should offer to ensure a good fit for your GK. Attending will help you avoid costly mistakes in time, money, and missed opportunities." - Kate Meachem Scotti (15u GK parent)
Meet Your Educator
Ian Feuer knows this journey as a parent. He’s stood on the sideline, watched it through a father’s eyes, and felt what every parent feels: wanting the best for your child while knowing you can’t play the game for them.
He’s also sat on the club’s side of the table, as the LA Galaxy’s Director of Goalkeeping and a coach from A.Y.S.O. to the U.S. National Team. So he knows what parents see from the sideline, and what’s going on behind it.
Playing time, coaches, competition, the moments after a tough game. You’ll hear how it looks from both sides and what it means for how you support your goalkeeper.
